The massive Porsche Rennsport Australia Motor Racing Festival this weekend will be one of the most significant events of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere this year.
The meeting scheduled for Sydney Motorsport Park is an all-Porsche event with the headline acts being the Porsche Carrera Cup and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.
It will be the third round of the Australian Carrera Cup Championship.
The Championship breaks from tradition and features a shared driver format in the style of a pro-am although the amateurs are regarded more accurately as elite drivers.
Many of the pro drivers are straight out of V8 Supercars or are exceptional drivers in a variety of categories and classes.
The driving combinations for the exclusive Rennsport Festival are extremely strong and would stack up in any first class endurance category.
