Chris Pither has secured his landing place for the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship, returning for a third stint with Brad Jones Racing.

Pither contested his second full main game campaign last year thanks to a last-minute deal with Team Sydney, delivering the squad its first top five finish under its new guise at Hidden Valley.

The 2018 Super2 title winner however missed out on an extension with the Jonathon Webb-run outfit, forcing him to hunt for an endurance co-drive.

That’s taken him to BJR, where he will don the familiar colours of Coca-Cola in the #96 Commodore alongside primary driver Macauley Jones.

Pither co-drove for the Albury organisation from 2012 to 2014 – also completing two Super2 campaigns in that period – and indeed made his Super2 debut with BJR way back in 2006.

“It’s great for myself and Coca-Cola to find a home at Brad Jones Racing,” said the 34-year-old.

“I have enjoyed racing for the team in the past so it’s good to be back on familiar grounds.

“I was aiming to drive full-time this season, but the right opportunity wasn’t available.

“Regardless, I’m grateful and excited to race the Bathurst 1000 with Macauley.

“I am also looking forward to attending rounds throughout the year representing Coca-Cola and working alongside Macauley and the BJR team so that when October arrives, we’ll be ready to go.”

Jones is looking forward to pairing up with Pither for the Repco Bathurst 1000 across October 7-10.

“I’m looking forward to getting to work with Chris again and having him behind the wheel of #96 for the Great Race,” said Jones.

“We were teammates back in Super2 and get along well together, it’ll be nice to have him back with BJR and hopefully have a successful enduro race.”

Pither represents the first co-driver announced by BJR for the forthcoming season, still with seats to fill next to Nick Percat, Todd Hazelwood and Jack Smith.
