There will be a full two hours of practice running for the Repco Supercars Championship field this weekend at the Mount Panorama 500, an increase of 50 percent.
Speedcafe.com has learned that the two sessions earmarked for the headline act this Friday have each been lengthened from 40 minutes to an hour, per the Further Supplementary Regulations.
Furthermore, the two qualifying sessions, one on Saturday for Race 1 of the season and the other on Sunday for Race 2, are now both 20 minutes long instead of 15.
A Top 10 Shootout follows in the afternoon in each case, and the two races remain at a distance of 40 laps or just under 250km each.
Both of those races are still scheduled for an official start of 15:00 local time/AEDT, and time-certainty remains one lap after 16:47.
