Last week, it was revealed that Crick will miss his planned solo wildcard. The team has now confirmed Aaron Seton will take the reins of the team’s third entry.
It’s hoped Crick will be ready in time to return for the Supercars Enduro Cup, which will see him partner Jack Le Brocq.
“First and foremost, our priority is making sure Cameron has the time and support he needs to focus on his health,” said Stone.
“While we’re disappointed he won’t be racing with us in Townsville, we’re fully behind his decision and look forward to seeing him back in the car for enduros.
“At the same time, we’re excited to give Aaron the opportunity to step into the wildcard program earlier than planned. He’s done a fantastic job with us for a number of years.
“The team has strong momentum behind us at the moment, and we’re looking forward to seeing what we can achieve across all three cars in Townsville.”

Seton, who will join Zach Bates in the #10 Matt Stone Racing Chevrolet Camaro for the two Enduro Cup races, will make two solo starts.
Matt Stone Racing had already planned a wildcard for him at the Ipswich Super440.
“Obviously the circumstances aren’t ideal and my first thoughts are with Cam,” said Seton.
“He’s a great mate and a huge part of this team, so I wish him all the best and look forward to seeing him back later in the year.
“From a driving perspective, I’m really excited to get the opportunity to race the wildcard in Townsville.
“Any chance to gain additional Supercars race experience is valuable, and being able to get an extra event under our belt before Ipswich and the enduros is something I’m very grateful for.
“We’ve got a really cool livery to unveil as well, which has a lot of personal meaning for my family, so I’m looking forward to sharing that with everyone in the coming weeks.”
The nature of Crick’s plight has not been revealed, though Matt Stone Racing described it as “minor health concerns”.
“Naturally, it’s disappointing to step away from the wildcard program,” said Crick.
“After discussing with Matt and the team, we agreed that focusing on my health and making sure I’m back in full swing for the enduros is the right decision.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the support I’ve received from my partners and everyone at Matt Stone Racing.
“The team has been fantastic, and while I’ll miss being on track in Townsville, I’ll be working hard behind the scenes and preparing for my return later in the year.”
The Townsville 500 takes place on July 10-12.
