Supercars TV host recovering from pneumonia

Fox Sports Supercars host Jessica Yates is expected to return to the television coverage at Tasmania after recovering from a bout of pneumonia.

The popular host was missing from the Fox Sports broadcast during the Sunday of the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 with the position filled by colleague Chris Stubbs.

Yates has since confirmed on social media that she has been suffering from the effects of pneumonia over the last two weeks.

However it is expected that Yates will be back in action at next week’s Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint.

“Everything since this day 2 weeks ago feels like a blur. Sincere thanks for all the well wishes as I recover from pneumonia … it was about the only thing that was going to slow me down. Resting up this week at home and looking forward to getting back to work next week @foxsportsaus,” read a post on Yates’ Instagram account.

Symmons Plains will host the third round of the Supercars Championship from April 5-7.
