Preston Hire Racing was forced to abandon its test at Winton Motor Raceway following a crash that has significantly damaged its Holden Commodore.
The car suffered apparent rear chassis damage after contact with the tyre wall at Turn 4 when its Pirtek Enduro Cup driver Matthew Brabham lost control.
After assessing the damage to the car, the team were forced to call time on its test day before midday, losing valuable mileage.
Brabham is understood to have emerged from the crash unscathed.
It is not known how many laps, if any, were logged by primary driver Lee Holdsworth before the abandonment.
Preston Hire Racing will now have only one test day remaining from its allocation as regulated by Supercars.
