Dale Wood and Cameron Waters have both been handed points penalties for seperate incidents with Tim Slade in Race 9 at Barbagallo.
The Freightliner Holden suffered contact from Wood’s Nissan at Turn 5 on the opening lap before another hit, this time from Waters, at Turn 1 two laps later.
Wood has been docked 10 points for his contact, while Waters loses 15.
After soldiering on to finish 16th, Slade described his afternoon as “disappointing”.
“The contact from Waters wasn’t major, but enough to damage the steering making it a little tougher than usual,” he said.
“The car felt quite different to yesterday even though the car setup was quite similar to how it was yesterday.”
The South Australian, who sits 14th in the standings, added that qualifying 15th was the start of today’s trouble.
“First and foremost we need to get our qualifying pace sorted,” he said.
“We’ve got a bit of work to do and I want to unlock our speed that little bit more.
“We’ll debrief back at the workshop this week to see what we can come up with.”
Today’s rulings were the only points penalties for the event after a largely clean weekend of racing.
