V8 Supercars has confirmed that it will use the front straight pit entry for this weekend’s Tradingpost Perth Challenge at Barbagallo Raceway.
The category and circuit confirmed earlier in the week that the front straight entry would be used, but pressure from drivers and teams saw a temporary backflip last night, which saw V8 Supercars issue a bulletin, stating that the entry off the back straight would be used.
Now, a statement issued by V8 Supercars has clarified the pit lane entry issue.
“After observing cars in the DVS and VCS practice today, and as requested by teams, we have reviewed the Pit Entries,” the statement read.
“In consideration of this review it has been determined the use of the Pit Lane Entry after Turn 7 (on pit straight) will be maintained for the meeting.
“Further review and consideration to the use of the alternate Pit Entry will be given after this meeting where a thorough and appropriate process, including a risk assessment, can be applied.”
