Shane van Gisbergen will be forced to start Race 16 from the back of the grid after being excluded from qualifying for a tyre infringement.
Tekno Autosport fitted two warm-up tyres to the rear of the #97 Holden Commodore and two green tyres to the front in qualifying, which is a breach of V8 Supercars’ sporting regulations.
Van Gisbergen had qualified in 11th spot, but will now be relegated to the back of the grid.
The infringement is another blow for Van Gisbergen’s weekend, which saw the team struggle with a vibration issue during all three Friday practice sessions.
