Mark Webber says that Red Bull Racing is ready to continue its winning ways at this weekend’s Belgium Grand Prix.
The Australian World Championship leader is four points ahead of McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton and after a four-week break in the Formula One schedule, Webber is confident his team will still be on top of its game.
“I expect we can do well at Spa, whether it’s as well as I did in Budapest is a question for everyone, but I know our team is ready,” he said.
“I don’t think there is a driver on the grid that doesn’t look forward to Spa. It’s an incredible circuit to drive on.”
Webber says that he has taken life easy over the short mid-season break, living at home, rather than out of a suitcase.
“The most important thing for me during the break is to stay away from planes and hotels, as the last part of the championship includes plenty of those,” he said.
“The break helps the drivers get refreshed, away from the travel and the hotels – it’s not the driving that makes us tired.”
