Milwaukee Racing has confirmed an unchanged driver line-up for this year’s Pirtek Enduro Cup with Alex Davison set to partner his brother Will Davison.
The Tickford Racing customer Ford team had been assessing its co-driver options before selecting Alex Davison after a solid display across the three endurance races last season.
Sharing the 23Red Racing Ford Falcon, the pair finished 14th in the enduro cup standings with two top 12 finishes last year.
Davison will complete his first last in the new-for-2019 Ford Mustang at the additional drivers practice session at the Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint from April 5-7.
“It’s great to be back with Will and 23Red Racing,” said Alex, the elder of the Davison brothers, who will make his 15th start in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 this October.
“They punched above their weight last year and obviously have made huge strides as a customer of Tickford Racing and are off to a great start this year.
“I have no doubts they’ll continue to improve throughout the year and we’ll be right in the thick of it come the Enduros.”
With Will currently lying fourth in the championship standings after an impressive start to the 2019 campaign, the Davison brothers could find themselves in the mix for enduro cup glory.
“I am super excited to have the chance to work with Alex again,” said Will Davison
“It’s pretty special to have the chance to drive with your brother. He did an exceptional job last year, so continuity on this front will serve us well, especially as this year we go straight into the Bathurst 1000.
“As a team we are in great shape and this is 100 percent our best chance to achieve great things together.”
Team owner Phil Munday added: “It’s good to have Alex back as our Enduro driver for 2019, and I’m sure he will give it a red hot go.
“He and Will work well together and obviously the car has been strong out of the box so we’re optimistic of a very good Enduro season.”
Tickford Racing has one co-driver spot to officially announce although Super2 driver Thomas Randle is expected to line up alongside Lee Holdsworth in the #5 entry.
James Moffat will once again partner Chaz Mostert while Michael Caruso has joined Cam Waters.
The much changed line up has put Dean Canto, Steve Owen and David Russell on the enduro driver market.
