A field of more than 50 cars has been lured to the fast-growing Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.
Held at the iconic mountain track across the Easter weekend from March 25-27, the event sees all-wheel-drive turbo-charged machinery and rear-wheel-drive BMWs head up nine classes within the race.
Ahead of the entries closing on February 19, more than 20 cars will line up in the A1 class for turbo/supercharged machines.
A new generation Subaru Impreza WRX STi fielded by AP Racing’s Adam Proctor will take on a host of Mitsubishi Evos.
“The latest WRX is significantly lighter, more powerful and a much better base as a racing car compared to the older model,” Proctor said.
“It’s a much better thing than what we have had and we knew that to beat the Mitsubishi’s we would have to do something different.”
The race will be streamed live via www.bathurstmotorfestival.com.au on Easter Sunday, with highlights to air on SBS Speedweek following the race.
