Brad Jones Racing has showcased the livery Nick Percat will adopt on his brand new Holden ZB Commodore at the Adelaide 500 Supercars season opener in March.

The Albury squad has released a render of the #8 Commodore featuring a blue, orange and black colour scheme including title sponsorship from industrial tools and safety gear provider Blackwoods.

BJR’s build process has been hampered due to a delay in the arrival of parts from ZB Commodore developer Triple Eight, although Speedcafe.com understands the car will head to Winton next week for a shakedown.

Percat ran a rolling title sponsorship program last year which may continue this year.

The South Australian is looking forward to driving his first brand new Supercar since entering the category as a full-time driver in 2014.

“Not only is the Blackwoods Racing ZB Commodore my first new Supercar, it’s the first new race car I’ve had since 2007,” said Percat.

“For any driver it’s very exciting when you get to roll out a brand-new car, especially one that looks as good as this!

“I have visited the guys and girls in the workshop a few times over the last month and they have all worked extremely hard getting these cars ready for the 2018 season. I can’t thank them enough, it’s been a huge effort.”

Following its proposed shakedown at Winton, the team will head to Sydney Motorsport Park for the official pre-season test on February 16.
