David Reynolds has finished the second V8 Supercar practice session on top of the time sheets at the Sydney Telstra 500 street race.
Reynolds, driver of the #24 Bundaberg Red Commodore VE, finished with a time of 1m31.3766s – the fastest time set so far around the new circuit.
Second place went to Cameron McConville (WOW Racing Commodore), ahead of Shane van Gisbergen (SP Tools Falcon), James Courtney (Jim Beam Falcon) and Fabian Coulthard (Wilson Security Falcon).
The session was delayed by five red flag periods, including a heavy crash for Todd Kelly in his #7 Jack Daniel’s Racing Commodore.
Craig Lowndes was last after he tagged the wall and only completed eight laps.
Some teams were vocal on how tough the track will be on equipment, particularly brakes.
