Matt Campbell has made it two from beating home Nick Foster in the second race of the Carrera Cup at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Unlike the first race of the day where a time penalty to Foster assisted Campbell in victory, the second race was a lights-to-flag affair which featured a great fight at the front.
Campbell built an early lead before Foster reeled him in over the closing five laps. Campbell kept his nerve to take the victory by just over a car’s length.
Third place went the way of David Russell ahead of Shae Daviesand Craig Baird.
A tough outing for defending champion and points leader Steve Richards, who retired from the race with damaged suspension after making contact with Davies while battling for third position.
A great four-way battle in the Tag Heuer Carrera Challenge with defending champion Stephen Grove leading home the train of James Bergmuller, Shane Smollen and Adrian Mastronardo.
The final race of the Carrera Cup will be run tomorrow at 12.45pm.
