The demolition works are part of long-standing plans to modernise facilities that were built for the first Melbourne- run Australian Grand Prix of the F1 era 1996.
This is a staged project that will include a mix of temporary and brand new permanent facilities next year ahead of a full suite of permanent infrastructure the year after.
