Following an investigation and admission of Careless Driving by James Courtney, Car #22, causing contact with Shane van Gisbergen, Car #97, and Garth Tander, Car #2, at Turn 1, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the Loss of 25 Championship Points.

The following incidents were investigated by the IO who determined no breach of rules established;

– David Wall Car #34 and Will Davison Car #9 at Turn 5

– Will Davison Car #9 on Todd Kelly Car #7 at Turn 6

– Jamie Whincup Car #1 and Will Davison Car #9 at Turn 6

Race 14 meanwhile saw no breach established following investigations into incidents between Scott McLaughlin and Todd Kelly and between Will Davison and Andre Heimgartner.

Rick Kelly had earlier been handed an in-race drive-through penalty for his opening turn incident with fellow front-row starter Fabian Coulthard.

The penalties see Whincup and Courtney fall behind Chaz Mostert in the championship standings to fifth and sixth respectively.

Bright meanwhile drops from 12th to 15th due to his two penalties.
