Brad Jones Racing will run a pair of Freightliner backed cars for this weekend’s CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown.
Nick Percat will adopt the same yellow and black livery utilised by team-mate Tim Slade since the start of the season for the meeting at Hidden Valley Raceway.
The Albury squad last fielded two Freghtliner liveried cars for Percat and Slade at Winton last year albeit in different colours.
Percat scored a milestone moment at Hidden Valley 12 months ago by recording his first podium for the team with a third place finish in the opening race of the round.
The South Australian, who is 12th in the standings, is hopeful the team’s strong form at the venue will continue this weekend.
“Darwin has been a good hunting ground for Freightliner Racing and BJR in previous years,” said Percat.
“I achieved my first podium result with the team here last year, Tim (Slade) was on the podium in 2016 and Fabian (Coulthard) was on the podium the two years before that. It’s a streak we’d certainly like to continue.
“The team were so ecstatic with the podium result we achieved here in the top end last year, it was one of my most memorable Supercar moments.
“Tim and I finished the 2017 Hidden Valley weekend with one of our best points hauls of the season, so we know we have the potential to get the results we’re after.
“Going into this year with the new ZB Commodore, we’re still learning about it; we can’t be too confident yet, but we’re hopeful.
“At this point in the championship we’re sitting much better than we were last year.
“I’ve got almost double the points and am sitting in 12th in the championship, rather than 20th where I was this time in 2017.
“Whilst we haven’t had our second test day like many other teams, we’re chipping away and finishing races in reasonable positions. The consistency is paying off.”
The cars will head out on track for opening practice at midday local time, 1230 AEST.
