Nissan Motorsport has revealed a new livery for Todd Kelly at this weekend’s Watpac Townsville 400.
Kelly’s Carsales Racing Nissan Altima will display a bold yellow and black colour scheme courtesy of his primary sponsor’s affiliate website boatsales.com.au.
This is the latest in a string of livery changes for the #7 Altima having started the season with a full carsales livery, before running bikesales signage at Symmons Plains and Phillip Island, partsales at Barbagallo and trucksales at Winton and Darwin.
“It’s great to have boatsales back on the car this year,” said Kelly.
“I love the look of the boatsales livery. The black and yellow looks really mean, and I can’t wait to see it roll out of the truck.
“We’ve changed the livery a few times already this year, between carsales, bikesales and trucksales, so I’m usually needing to do a double-take to make sure I’m getting in the right car.”
Nissan Motorsport heads to Townsville off the back of a weekend of mixed results at Darwin.
While Rick Kelly scored a pole position, Todd Kelly was unable to break into the top 15 in both races, which he is hoping to rectify this weekend.
“We had a car on pole last round, so it proved we can extract the one lap speed from the car,” he added.
“Now we just need to get more consistent pace out of it.
“The Townsville track is a lot of fun and really challenging.
“The event is also always really well supported, so the whole team looks forward to escaping winter down here.”

Alongside Kelly’s livery reveal, Nissan Motorsport aims to improve the fan experience this weekend with the debut of its new Nissan Best Seats VIP Tour activation.
The program gives race fans the opportunity to view the action from the VIP trackside platform, while the vehicle picks up and drops off fans at various vantage points around the circuit precinct.
At the Reid Park street circuit this weekend, the Nissan Best Seats in the House activation is located between Turn 6 and 7.
To gain access to the VIP platform and the Nissan Best Seats VIP Tour, fans simply need to prove they are a Nissan owner or fan by wearing the team’s merchandise, or by showing their Nissan car key.
