The under and over 2.0lt Improved Productions were combined. Matt Giuntini (U2L Honda Civic) won Races 1 and 3 while Michael King (O2L Mitsubishi Evo 8) took Race 2. Superkarts racer Lee Vella totally dominated the four outings in his 125cc Avoig Elise.
The Series X3 Excels went to Connor Cooper over Jackson Faulkner and Monique Sciberras. Unusual for Formula Vees, Craig Sparke (Jacer) was a tearaway winner in each of the three races.
Production Touring Car race honours were taken by Class A2 HSV Clubsports pilots in Matt Holt with two, and Trevor Symonds one. Victorian Phil Hughes was the master of the conditions in Supersports aboard his Radical SR8. He greeted the chequered flag first in all races but was penalised in one.
In Joe Said’s Fiat 124/Twin Rotary Turbo, Brad Shiels blew away the small Sports Sedan field in all three races. After a third in Race 1, Liam Loiacono (Mygale) went on to win the following two Formula Ford races.
Round 5 will also be at SMP as a two-day meeting on August 3-4.
