The grid for tomorrow’s L&H 500 Phillip Island has been set after today’s busy qualifying schedule at the Victorian circuit.

Decided by combined points from today’s two Qualifying Races, the #6 Trading Post Racing car of Will Davison and Luke Youlden will start the season’s first endurance race from pole position – sharing the front row with the Garth Tander/Nick Percat’s Toll Holden Racing Team Commodore entry.

It is Davison’s second pole position for FPR, and fourth for his career. He took his first pole with Ford Performance Racing at the Clipsal 500.

It is Youlden’s first V8 Supercars pole position.

Behind the factory Ford and Holden front-row is Shane van Gisbergen/John McIntyre (SP Tools Racing) from Jamie Whincup/Andrew Thompson (TeamVodafone), Paul Dumbrell/Dean Canto (The Bottle-O Racing) and Craig Lowndes/Mark Skaife (TeamVodafone),

The Kelly Racing entries of David Reynolds/Tim Blanchard (Stratco Racing) and Greg Murphy/Allan Simonsen occupy the fourth row of the grid, while rounding out the 10 will be Mark Winterbottom/Steve Richards ahead of the second Toll HRT Commodore of James Courtney/Cameron McConville.
