Group C demonstration confirmed as B12Hr releases schedule

Group C cars are set to perform demonstration runs at the Bathurst 12 Hour

A demonstration of Group C Sportscars from the 1980s is set to take to the Mount Panorama circuit as part of the 2020 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

Organisers have released the schedule for the event with the iconic Group C racers set to take to the circuit three times across Friday and Saturday.

They’ll form part of the support bill alongside Aussie Racing Cars, Group S Historic Sports Cars and Combined Sedans.

The flagship Bathurst 12 Hour runners will also enjoy six hours of track running prior to Sunday’s race.

Action starts from 0720 on Friday morning, with Bathurst 12 Hour competitors on track for the first of four sessions at 0840.

The first Group C demonstration is set to take place at 1330 on Friday, before returning at 0950 on Saturday morning.

A final demonstration takes place at 1645, just prior to the Bathurst 12 Hour Top 10 Shootout at 1705.

As has become the norm, the Bathurst 12 Hour itself will begin at 0545 on Sunday morning, and run through to 1745.

News of the 2020 schedule follows Thursday’s announcement of a new television broadcast deal that will see the race shown on Seven and Fox Sports.

The Bathurst 12 Hour is set to run from January 31 to February 2.
