The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge has inked a fresh two-year deal to continue with Pirelli as the category’s official tyre supplier.
It will carry Pirelli through a fourth and fifth season in the feeder class for the Carrera Cup, which continues to run on Michelins.
Porsche Cars Australia motorsport manager, Kurt Sakzewski said the renewal continues a strong association with Pirelli and its local distributor Trofeo Motorsport.
“Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge has enjoyed a great association with Pirelli over the past three seasons and we are thrilled to continue this through to at least the end of the 2017 season,” Sakzewski said.
“Pirelli sets a very high standard, not only by the tyre its supplies, but also by the service it provides to our Porsche teams and its presentation at every GT3 Cup Challenge round.”
The final round of the current Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Australia presented by Pirelli season is scheduled for Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend.
