Jamie Whincup will start the 2011 V8 Supercars Championship as the clear favourite, according to leading sports betting agencies.
The TeamVodafone driver is paying $3.25 to win the title, and a short $1.50 to finish inside the top three.
Reigning V8 champion James Courntey is second favourite, driving for his new outfit the Toll Holden Racing Team.
Orrcon Steel FPR’s Mark Winterbottom is third favourite, best of the Fords, while his new team-mate Will Davison is the next best of the blue ovals, paying a handy $13.
