Andre Heimgartner will race with a New Zealand-inspired livery on his Nissan Altima Supercar at his home event, the ITM Auckland SuperSprint, this weekend at Pukekohe.
The matte black look features the Silver Fern on the rear quarter-panels of the #7 Kelly Racing entry and also such a motif along the roofline, as well as the map of New Zealand on the roof.
“I’m extremely proud of what the team has produced, this has to be the best-looking race car I’ve had, the black and white theme on the car looks incredible and it’s great to give back to the New Zealand fans with a livery that’s dedicated to them,” said Heimgartner.
“I’m really thankful for the support Kelly Racing has given me and the effort they have put in to do something special for my home round.
“We had reasonable pace at Pukekohe last year and it’s a track that I know well, and coming off the strong performance we had at The Bend a few weeks ago I think we can continue to move forward and deliver some positive results for the team.”
Heimgartner is currently Kelly Racing’s lead driver in 13th in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, with the Pukekohe event kicking off tomorrow with Practice 1 at 1205 local time/1005 AEST.
