Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa has taken his first MotoGP race win of 2012, taking the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring.
Pedrosa took the win after Australian team-mate Casey Stoner fell off his Honda while challenging the Spaniard on the final lap.
A fast-starting Pedrosa was quickly overhauled by Stoner in the opening laps, with Stoner leading the way until his team-mate slipped by with 11 laps remaining.
Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo took second place, and retook the lead in the world title, ahead of Tech 3 Yamaha’s Andrea Dovizioso.
Lorenzo’s Yamaha team-mate Ben Spies took fourth place, ahead of the impressive Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda), Valentino Rossi (Ducati), Alvaro Bautista (San Carlo Gresini Honda), Cal Crutchlow (Tech 3 Yamaha), Hector Barbara (Pramac) and Nicky Hayden (Ducati).
