Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport’s #80 Holden Commodore will compete in the colours of Sargent Security for the remainder of the 2013 season.
Sargent branding has replaced that of previous sponsor Ekol at Bathurst, while a complete new livery is being planned for the Gold Coast.
Sargent Security has sponsored a number of teams and series in Australian motorsport over recent years, including current full car sponsorship of LDM co-driver Paul Morris’ Dunlop Series entry.
Primary driver Scott Pye has qualified the car 22nd for Sunday’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
Sargent Security general manager Peter Harris said that the location of the last four rounds of the season made the partnership with LDM a good fit.
“Our main area of work is in the Eastern seaboard of Australia, so when the opportunity arose to become the naming rights sponsor for the last four rounds, we jumped at it, they’re all important rounds to us,” he said.
“We are always looking at different things and this is now our third year we have been involved in motorsport.
“Towards the end of this year and next year we want to make a bigger statement then we have done in the past.”
The future of LDM beyond 2014 is currently unclear, with persistent speculation linking Morris with a rebirth of his Paul Morris Motorsport outfit.
Pye, meanwhile, is expected to head to the Carrera Cup after a difficult maiden season in the V8 Supercars Championship.
