Marc Marquez is confident his Honda squad have solved the issues that contributed to the end of his 10 race MotoGP winning streak ahead of this weekend’s British Grand Prix.

The reigning world champion witnessed his unbeaten start to the 2014 season come to an end two weeks ago when team-mate Dani Pedrosa claimed the honours at the Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno.

Marquez struggled for outright pace in the race which saw him record his worst race finish to a MotoGP grand prix by coming home in fourth. Incredibly it was the first time he had finished a grand prix outside of the podium places.

However, the 21-year-old is feeling upbeat heading into the British Grand Prix at Silverstone after revealing his Honda squad have found a solution to his pace concerns at Brno.

“Brno was a difficult weekend but the most important thing is that we took important points,” said Marquez.

“Also, I feel less pressure now as I know everyone was expecting me to win all of them, and it’s the Championship that’s important, not winning every race.

“Maybe it was my worst race in MotoGP, but on the Monday test we found a solution so it’s ok and we are positive.

“Silverstone is a great track and the weather looks good for this weekend.”

Marquez has also quashed radio reports claiming that he intends to make a sensational switch to Formula 1 in the near future.

“They get confused! I don’t know why,” added Marquez.

“They asked me if I want to try a Formula One (car) and I said ‘one day, why not? The experience would be nice, but in the future’. But they say I want to move to Formula One.

“Stop the questions. My world is here in MotoGP.”
