Australian racer Matthew Brabham has completed a successful two-day test ahead of his 2014 Indy Lights debut at the Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.
The Andretti Autosports star registered the fastest time in the morning sessions on a wet opening day before his team-mate Zach Veach went quickest in the afternoon.
The French teenager Alex Baron (Belardi Auto Racing) then topped both sessions on the final day with a best time of 1:15.726s.
Brabham set the third fastest time overall in 1:16.234 Veach clocking a best of 1:16.026s in the tests.
“It's been a lot of fun and finally the sun came out,” Brabham said.
“There is not a cloud in the sky now but it was looking pretty hairy at the start. Monday it was pouring. I am still learning the car. It just bites you so much harder than the cars I have driven before.
“You have to really, really be on top of catching any moment you have before they get out of hand. I'm kind of struggling with that a little bit.
“I have been off track quite a lot of times. I just have to calm everything down and see how it goes.”
