Michael Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm has given a short briefing to the media at Grenoble hospital stating that the seven-times world champion remains in a stable condition.
Schumacher was operated on for a second time yesterday with his medical team announcing that there had been a slight improvement in his condition.
Kehm said that Schumacher had remained stable overnight while the hospital has stated that they will not organise a press conference unless there was a change in the former champion grand prix driver’s condition.
“Michael has been carefully supervised overnight and his condition at the moment is stable,” Kehm said.
“The good news for today is that we do not feel it necessary to hold a press conference because there are no significant changes.”
Schumacher was critically injured after smashing his head against a rock in a skiing accident in the French Alpine resort of Meribel on Sunday.

*Schumacher was skiing off-piste at the luxury resort at Meribel, falling and smashing his head on a rock
*Schumacher was originally taken to Moutiers hospital before being transferred to Grenoble after his condition worsened
*French media initially reported that his condition was not life threatening in the immediate hours after the accident however this was amended later in the day
*Schumacher undergoes immediate surgery at Grenoble hospital to eliminate bleeding outside the brain and to reduce pressure on Sunday (French time)
*Doctors hold their first press conference, confirming Schumacher was in a critical condition and was fighting for his life
*The surgeons refused to offer any prognosis for Schumacher
*A second operation was performed to relieve pressure on his brain with a slight improvement detected in his condition
*Schumacher’s surgical team refuse to say he is out of danger
*Doctors carried out a controlled scan without further risk owing to his improvement
*The scan showed some haematoma within the brain were not accessible however one haematoma was more accessible and was removed
*The second operation carried out at 10pm on Monday (French time) lasted two hours
*The CT scan showed other unspecified lesions in the brain
