Australian MotoGP rider Jack Miller swapped two wheels for four as he sampled Honda’s World Touring Car Championship contender.

The Queenslander jumped behind the wheel of a factory Civic at Italy’s Circuito Tazio Nuvolari as part of a Castrol promotional event.

Miller showcased his skills on the LCR Honda RC213V he campaigned in MotoGP this season before making the transition to four wheels.

Honda world touring car driver Tiago Monteiro drove Miller around the circuit prior to handing over to the 20-year-old for his maiden laps.

“It was great to get out there and get a go in a race car,” said Miller.

“I’ve done all sorts of other sports but never really driven a race car or anything like that so it was really cool.

“You can definitely get a really good feel and I’m pleased that we could get a dry line and the slick tyres on.

“Tiago was really calm next to me, considering we had a few spins! It really is a lot of fun to drive and it feels really at home on the track.”

Miller is well underway with his preparations for the 2016 MotoGP season he will contest with Marc VDS Honda.
