Marcos Ambrose and Brad Keselowski will both race in Wurth colours in the coming weeks as DJR Team Penske continues its rolling sponsorship model.

The team’s #17 Ford V8 Supercar will carry backing from the Wurth Group at the upcoming Albert Park (March 12-15) and Symmons Plains (March 27-29) events.

Keselowski’s #2 Ford Fusion NASCAR will meanwhile sport the branding in Fontana, California, on the weekend separating the two V8 Supercars meetings as part of a long-term Penske sponsorship.

Wurth employs 500 people across Australia, supplying fixing and assembly materials in the automotive, cargo, mining, manufacturing and construction sectors.

Ambrose’s car appeared in Shell livery at the recent Clipsal 500 Adelaide as part of a two-race primary sponsorship deal with the oil giant, which also backs Penske’s Joey Logano-driven NASCAR.

“We are delighted that long time Dick Johnson Racing partner Wurth has become our naming rights sponsor for the next two events, and more importantly agreed to come on board as an ongoing partner in a multi-year deal,” said DJR Team Penske managing director Ryan Story.

“The rollout of the Wurth partnership and livery after our very successful Clipsal 500 with Shell, cements the strategy of bringing together great brands in a more contemporary, marketing focused program.”

Team Penske founder Roger Penske has now returned to the United States following a full week in Australia, which included attending the Clipsal 500.

Ambrose sits 12th in the championship after Adelaide having turned around a difficult start to the weekend with a strong run on the Sunday.
