Driving Events is a Queensland-based motorsport training and driver development company delivering professional on-track and driver safety programs across Australia.
Driving Events has built a strong reputation over nearly 15 years for delivering high-quality driver coaching, motorsport experiences and advanced driver training. The business has operated at some of Queensland’s best-known circuits including Queensland Raceway, Lakeside Raceway, Morgan Park and Mount Cotton, providing programs for drivers of all experience levels.
In November 2025, Driving Events entered a new chapter under the ownership of highly experienced Australian racing driver and driver coach Melinda Price. With more than four decades in motorsport competition and driver training, Price brings extensive racing and coaching knowledge to the business.
Price’s career began in karting at the age of nine before progressing through multiple Australian racing categories, including Supercars. She is widely recognised as one of the ‘Castrol Cougars’ and competed in the Bathurst 1000 five times between 1994 and 2000. A career highlight came in 1998 when she and Kerryn Brewer recorded the best result by an all-female pairing in Bathurst 1000 history, finishing 11th outright.
Her experience also extends internationally, including competing in the Nürburgring 24 Hour and racing alongside Sir Jack Brabham in a Nürburgring six-hour event where they finished on the podium.
Today, Driving Events delivers a wide range of programs including race driver training, road car track days, open pit lane sessions, defensive driver training, advanced car control and skid pan training. Under Price’s leadership, the company continues to focus on professional coaching, practical driver education and creating accessible motorsport experiences for drivers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
