Kate Peck will join Network Ten’s motorsport line-up beginning at this weekend’s Castrol Edge Townsville 400.

The model and presenter has signed a one-year contract which will see her join host Matt White and the team for all of Ten’s live motorsport coverage this year.

Her reporting duties will begin at Townsville this weekend followed by the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Castrol Gold Coast 600, Coates Hire Sydney 500 and next year’s Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.

Peck’s role will see her primarily produce colour reports from each of Ten’s live events, speaking to both drivers and fans.

A former Australian Grand Prix ambassador and an avid motorsport fan, Peck has featured regularly in Ten’s RPM motorsport magazine show since its return last year.

She will continue her role in the show under the new arrangement.

“I’ve been working with RPM for the last year and all the projects have gone from strength to strength,” Peck told Speedcafe.com.

“It’s been a dream come true for any revhead.

“The role will be a lot of colour reporting and chatting to drivers and fans. It is all about getting the passion and energy of the event really.

“The Ten team are legends and are so full of knowledge. I’m glad to have them on my side and they are great to work with. It is a once in-a-lifetime opportunity.

“Supercars is so unique to Australia that whenever I go overseas or talk to people from F1 and MotoGP they are fascinated by it. We should be quite proud of it.”

Peck admits she is particularly excited to be involved in Ten’s coverage of Supercars iconic Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 from October 6-9.

“Bathurst is huge and it does have a global reputation. Just to be at the mountain and seeing everything is going to be pretty special,” added Peck.

This weekend marks Ten’s second live Supercars event of the season and its first since the Clipsal 500 in March.

Utilising the same core commentary team as Fox Sports, Ten’s between-session coverage includes expert guests Mark Larkham and Nissan driver Rick Kelly.
