Nick Percat’s affinity for his dog Nelson is well known, now he’s enlisting the help of his furry friends for a special one-off helmet design.
The Brad Jones Racing driver will don a helmet at the season-opening Repco Mount Panorama 500 featuring real painted paw prints.
The quirky design comes as part of a collaboration with Guide Dogs Australia.
Following this year’s first round, the helmet will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Guide Dogs Victoria.
“My helmet for Round 1 of the 2021 championship has been brought to you by a few four-legged friends,” Percat wrote on social media.
“Really excited to be able to share this with everyone. The final product is really really cool and I’ll be sharing the helmet and footage of how it came together early next week.”
Percat will reveal the helmet ahead of the Repco Mount Panorama 500, which takes place across February 26-28.
