Renault has launched its RS17 model that will contest the 2017 Formula 1 World Championship.
Uncovered at an unveiling to key partners and the media in London, the black and yellow liveried machine was the first time the new Renault Sport brand identity had been shown in public.
In keeping with similar designs by the previously uncovered Sauber and Williams earlier this week, the Renault features the LMP1-style distinctive shark fin through its spine.
There are said to be no carryover parts from the 2016 model with the team working from a clean sheet in accordance with the new 2017 regulations.
Along with race drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Jolyon Palmer, Sergey Sirotkin was confirmed as the reserve for the squad.
Cyril Abiteboul, Renault Sport Racing Managing Director, said the car is the result of many long working hours spent over the team's two integrated locations.
“We have a strong line-up of personnel at all levels of the team and we're proud to see Nico and Sergey join Jolyon in 2017,” Abiteboul said.
“We are joined by a strong group of partners with BP, Castrol, MAPFRE and SMP Racing representing the best pre-season sponsorship acquisition campaign in the paddock.”
Renault's F1 team also sees four-times World Champion Alain Prost as Renault Sport Racing Special Advisor.
The remainder of the F1 grid is booked to continue more reveals every day leading up to the opening day of the first pre-season test at Barcelona on Monday.
Force India will be the next to showcase its 2017 effort.
