Fraser Ross will join Tekno Autosports for an assault on the Australian GT Championship.
The 26-year-old will pilot a McLaren 650S backed by Total Oil Australia and Opti-Coat Coatings Australia in the six round championship.
Ross has spent the last two seasons competing in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, recording a best finish of 11th overall in 2016.
Prior to his Carrera Cup exploits, Ross won the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge in 2014.
The Melbourne racer is eagerly anticipating an opportunity to make the move to Australian GT.
“I'am very excited to be joining a professional outfit like Tekno Autosports and to be driving a McLaren 650S GT3 in the Australian GT Championship,” said Ross.
“This season will bring whole new challenges and I am determined to be fighting at the front from the get-go.
“It's an amazing feeling to have the support of a renowned global brand such as Total.
“What they represent in the automotive industry is massive and for them to put their faith in me is huge.”
Ross intends to undertake a test in the car at Queensland Raceway next week ahead of the season opener at the Clipsal 500 from March 2-5.
