Nathan Pretty is the new series leader in the Auto One V8 Utes – Protect By Armor All as David Sieders dominated qualifying for Round 6 at Mount Panorama.
The practice fast man has now topped all three Bathurst V8 Ute sessions thus far, with a 2:33.0808, more than six tenths of the next-best effort, which belonged to Stephen White.
Pretty, the season’s other prolific pole-sitter, was just under a hundredth of a second slower in third, but a 17-position advantage over the previous series leader yielded gave enough points to pull ahead in the title race.
Ryan Hansford was fourth, setting his best time in the first half of the session like all of the other fast men.
Rounding out the top-ten were Andrew Fisher, Jesse Dixon, Jeremy Gray, Kris Walton, Kim Jane, and Craig Dontas.
Elliot Barbour, second in practice, was the only casualty of yet another red flag-free session, slapping the McPhillamy Park wall after losing the rear of his Falcon just five minutes in.
Race 1 commences tomorrow at 9:30 AEDT.
