A fan who wandered onto the track during the Singapore Grand Prix has been charged.
CCTV cameras captured the track invader gaining access to the circuit through a gap in the barriers before continuing to walk between Turns 13 and 14 during the race.
His actions prompted race officials to deploy the Safety Car to neutralise the contest.
A Singapore court has since charged British national, Yogvitam Pravin Dhokia, with committing a “rash act endangering the personal safety of others” and could face up to six months in jail or a maximum fine of $2,479 AUD.
He is due to appear in court again on October 6.
