Supercars has released the schedule for the inaugural Pirtek Perth SuperNight, confirming the times of its two championship races under lights at Barbagallo Wanneroo Raceway.
As previously reported, the Perth venue will host a 120km (50 laps) race on Friday night followed by a 200km (83 laps) heat on Saturday night instead of the solitary 300km format used when the SuperNight concept debuted at Sydney Motorsport Park last year.
Those races, to be run on the newly resurfaced Barbagallo circuit, are now scheduled to begin at 1845 local time (AWST)/2045 AEST with time certain finishes in place should they be required.
Supercars will also contest a 30 minute practice session under lights on Thursday at 1840 (local) while Practice 2 will take place on Friday afternoon.
The event will also feature the popular knockout Armor All Qualifying format with sessions slated for 1555 on Friday and 1450 on Saturday, making for markedly different conditions to the races which will follow.
Night racing will continue after both Supercars heats with the Australian GT Championship set to close out the day’s action on Friday and Saturday.
Dunlop Super2, ECB SuperUtes and the Historic Touring Cars series complete the support bill.
The Pirtek Perth SuperNight will take place from May 2-4.
