Team Australia are edging towards a stunning competition sweep after another dominant performance on the fourth day of the FIM International Six Days Enduro at Slovakia.
Competing against team from all over the world, the Australian contingent currently lead the World Trophy, Junior Trophy and Women’s Trophy categories of the gruelling off-road motorcycle endurance event.
Australia’s World Trophy team increased their overall lead over Italy to more than 15 minutes following another impressive performance by Aussies Daniel Milner and Daniel Sanders.
Milner continued his private battle American rider Ryan Sipes but he was forced to settle for second in the Enduro 2 class, while Sanders continues to lead the Enduro 3 category.
Josh Green (Yamaha, Enduro 1) and Matthew Phillips (KTM, Enduro 2) remained in second and fourth in their respective classes at the end of day four further boosting Australia’s hopes.
Australia’s Junior World Trophy squad stretched their advantage over Sweden and USA by two and a half minutes to open up a 11 minute overall lead.
The Women’s World Trophy team continued to dominate the competition, with the trio of Tayla Jones (Yamaha), Jemma Wilson (Yamaha) and Jessica Gardiner (Sherco) 39 minutes clear of their nearest challengers France.
The field will repeat the trails and tests of day four for the final full day of action as the competition enters into the penultimate day.
