Brad Jones Racing has taken the wraps off the Team CoolDrive Commodore it will field for Tim Blanchard in the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
The Albury squad has shown the battledress on the Blanchard machine ahead of its two stablemates.
The liveries for incumbent team-mate Tim Slade and in-coming Nick Percat, following his arrival from the Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport team, are expected in the next week.
The Blanchard machine moves from a white and blue colour scheme to a predominantly blue hue for 2017.
Designed in-house, the fresh livery is the product of PPG paints and Roland DG printers used for the wraps.
The livery has been created to celebrate CoolDrive’s 40 years of operation.
Its milestone year will see a special ’40 years’ logo featured on the car.
The company specialises in a range of products highlighted by automotive air conditioning, engine cooling, engine management and workshop products.
The family owned and operated business saw the Blanchard clan purchase the REC previously used by Super Black Racing which sees the 29-year-old continue under the three-car BJR model.
Blanchard has endured a difficult time in Supercars after claiming the Australian Formula Ford Championship in 2007 ahead of a strong stint in the Dunlop Series.
From limited opportunities, Blanchard’s plunge into Supercars in 2010 saw him take out the Mike Kable Young Gun Award.
“It is quite a bit different to the livery of the past two seasons so to start the season with a fresh look is exciting,” Blanchard said.
“The livery also pays tribute to the 40th Anniversary milestone that CoolDrive achieves later this year.
“I know CoolDrive are arranging some cool promotions throughout the year to celebrate the achievement which will be good to see.”
Team launches will accelerate over the next week with Walkinshaw Racing set to launch its new name and cars for drivers James Courtney and Scott Pye on Monday.
Walkinshaw was stripped of the Holden Racing Team name and official status as the iconic car maker’s factory team in a major upheaval announced by Holden last August.
The bombshell news will see Triple Eight run two of its Commodores under the Red Bull Holden Racing Team name in the first of a three-year deal with Holden.
