Two riders have been killed in separate incidents at the Isle of Man TT, making for a total of three deaths at the event this year.
Dutch rider Jochem van den Hoek died following a crash on the opening lap of Wednesday’s Superstock race.
The 28-year-old was making his first appearance at the Isle of Man TT, and had finished 27th in Sunday’s RST Superbike race.
Alan Bonner also lost his life, the Irishman falling at the 33rd Milestone during qualifying for the Senior TT.
He too had competed in Sunday’s Superbike race, finishing 30th, and held the record of the fastest rider from the Republic of Ireland around the mountain course (127.090mph, set in 2015).
Having begun last Sunday with the Superbike race, the Isle of Man TT concludes tomorrow with the second TT Sidecar race and the Senior TT.
