South-East Queensland fans have the chance to get into the spirit of this month's Armor All Gold Coast 600 by purchasing today's Gold Coast Bulletin newspaper.
The Bulletin and Speedcafe.com have joined forces with Armor All to create a ‘Speed Week' on the Gold Coast.
Today, the Gold Coast Bulletin comes with its own pair of official Armor All Speed Week bumper stickers.
Fans can simply place a sticker on their vehicle and our team of spies will produce a list of 10 daily winners who will have their license plates printed in the Gold Coast Bulletin from Monday October 8 through to Wednesday October 17.
The daily winner will receive a double weekend general admission pass to the Armor All Gold Coast 600, while there will also be another nine consolation winners who will receive an Armor All gift pack.
Apart from the daily prizes there will also be the ultimate sporting reward for one lucky reader.
The ultimate prize will include two corporate tickets to the Armor All Gold Coast 600 in the official Armor All suite, two tickets to the Friday Pirtek Legends dinner with Dick Johnson, two Platinum tickets to the Saturday night Bledisloe Cup at Suncorp Stadium and two tickets to the Speedcafe.com Greenroom after party at Shooters nightclub on Sunday night – as well as an Armor All product and merchandise pack.
IRWIN Tools Ford driver Lee Holdsworth had little hesitation throwing a sticker on the back of his Ford Territory.
“The Gold Coast event is always one of the best of the year and means a little more to me again this season because I live back in my home town,” said Holdsworth.
“I always remember the Bulletin bumper sticker promotions being a great success and with the prizes up for grabs this year I am sure it is going to go off.
“This is one event I can never get enough tickets to, so I will have no problem sticking a couple of stickers on the back of our family car. I got mine a week earlier so that might help.
“I'd stick one on the back of the IRWIN Falcon if I knew there was going to be a couple of spies at Bathurst next week.”
Gold Coast Bulletin editor Peter Gleeson said that the sticker promotion would help the region get into the spirit of the Gold Coast 600 which enters is 22nd year this month.
“This promotion will be one of the few where you can actually win tickets to the event,” said Gleeson.
“Armor All have been generous with their contribution to this initiative and we look forward to working with Speedcafe.com to produce a really unique product in the week of this year's race.
“It will be enthusiasm for these types of activations which will help prove that we need to keep this iconic event on the streets of Surfers Paradise.”
Part of the Armor All Speed Week concept will include a daily feature story covering many elements of speed which can be found around the region.
The Bulletin will also produce a 44-page special lift-out on Friday October 19, which will provide a guide to the event and all the off-track activities.
Your comprehensive on-track coverage will come from Speedcafe.com and, combined with all the entertainment, gossip and features from the Gold Coast Bulletin, you will have to go nowhere else for your coverage of this year's Armor All Gold Coast 600.
