The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will be aired on Fox Sports for the first time in 2018.
Now entering its third year, the Bathurst 6 Hour will be telecast live on the pay television network on Easter Sunday (April 1) from 1115 local time/AEST.
“Motorsports are key in our focus at Fox Sports, part of our DNA,” said Fox Sports’ Head of Television, Steve Crawley.
“Being able to present the Bathurst 1000 without any ad breaks this year is a big deal for motorsport fans.
“And now a further bonus; the Bathurst 6 Hour begins on Easter Sunday and fans will be able to watch it all on Fox Sports.”
International audiences will again be able to watch the race on the event’s website, while Sunday support category racing will be streamed locally and overseas.
The race replay will be available in full from early Monday morning on the Bathurst 6 Hour website.
“This is an exciting announcement that showcases the growth of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour,” said Event Director James O’Brien.
“As the event continues to grow we are continuing to find ways to expand the coverage and continue to make it more appealing for our partners and our competitors.
“Fox Sports’ commitment to motor sport in Australia is outstanding and we are very pleased to be included in that commitment this year.
“We will also provide comprehensive live timing coverage via the website for fans at home.”
The announcement means that all three of Bathurst’s major races are now covered in full on television, with the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 on Fox Sports and Ten, and the Bathurst 12 Hour on the Seven Network.
The Bathurst 6 Hour had previously been covered by way of a live stream and post-produced television highlights.
This year’s edition again takes place over Easter, from March 30-April 1.
