Wall Racing has finalised its two-car line-up for the 2018 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour with two-time winner John Bowe making his return to the race.

Bowe will compete as part of a four-driver crew in the Richard Gartner Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 which Wall Racing is preparing and running.

He will join David Wall, Hadrian Morrall, and Gartner himself in the car which the latter took to third in last year’s Australian GT Trophy Series.

Bowe won the race in its production car era in a BMW 335i in 2010 and again in a Maranello Motorsport Ferrari 458 in 2014 but has missed the last two editions.

Carrera Cup champion Wall will arrive at Mount Panorama as defending Class B winner, while Morrall was Class I runner-up in a MARC Car in 2017.

Gartner is also a class podium finisher, taking second in Class B in 2016 driving the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup Car he has campaigned at Bathurst in recent years.

The Lamborghini will race in Class A Am with backing from Safe-T-Stop, Wilson Security, and PB Packaging.

“The plan is to go there and stay out of trouble; the car should be well suited to the Bathurst track and all going to plan we will have a strong result in the Am class” said Wall Racing team manager David Fyfe.

The team’s other car will be a Class B Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Car to be driven by Charles Putman, Charles Espenlaub, and Joe Foster.

The American trio, as well as Andy Pilgrim, raced together in a GT4 entry in last year’s Bathurst 12 Hour and will head to Australia as class winners of November’s 24H COTA, also in a 991 GT3 Cup Car.

The 2018 Bathurst 12 Hour takes place from February 2-4.
