Greg Taylor and Australian-based Brit James Winslow will compete in ‘Cars’ movie character liveries for the first two rounds of the new FRD LMP3 Series.
Winslow and co-driver Mathias Beche will drive the #95 Lightning McQueen Ligier for Craft Bamboo Racing, while Taylor is set to partner former IndyCar driver Alex Tagliani in the #20 entry in the look of the film franchise’s new character Jackson Storm.
The team’s pit garage will also be decorated to reflect the liveries of the two cars.
“We are proud to welcome the ‘Cars’ franchise to Craft Bamboo Racing for the inaugural round of the FRD LMP3 Series,” said Craft Bamboo CEO Richard Coleman.
“We are very happy to work with Disney-Pixar and hope that fans all across China will enjoy the collaboration.
“The sight of the fully decorated Ligiers is striking and should make for a very exciting first two rounds of the season as we compete for our first victories in the FRD LMP3 Series.”
The FRD LMP3 Series is a brand new sportscar series based in Asia, run by Asian Formula Renault Series operator Formula Racing Development Group.
The first round of the inaugural, four-round season will be run at the Zhejiang International Circuit on June 30-July 2.
