World Endurance Championship star Earl Bamber will make his debut in the Blancpain GT Series Asia this weekend in Shanghai.
Bamber, who this year won the Le Mans 24 Hours for the second time, will swap his Porsche 919 LMP1 for one of Arrows Racing’s customer 991 GT3 Rs.
The New Zealander will partner fellow debutant Will Hardeman in car #98, making the latter the first American to race in Blancpain GT Series Asia.
Australian Nick Foster will again team up with Briton Devon Modell in the #88 Craft Bamboo Racing Porsche GT3 R, which will sport a new red and gold Shang Peng look.
Foster made his own debut in the series during the third event at Suzuka in June, and was recalled for the next two events at Fuji Speedway and this weekend’s penultimate meet in Shanghai.
They have finished second in each of the Saturday races they have competed in together.
Malaysian-based Australian Mitchell Gilbert will share with Indian Aditya Patel in the #86 OD Racing Team Audi R8 LMS GT3, as he has done all season.
The fifth event of Blancpain GT Series Asia takes place at the Shanghai International Circuit on September 23-24.
