Ferrari’s Felipe Massa has topped Friday’s second practice session at the new Buddh International Circuit, India.

Sporting a revised front wing that distinctively created sparks against the new track’s surface, Massa’s Ferrari posted the best time of the day, outperforming new world champion Sebastian Vettel by less than 0.1s.

Massa’s team-mate Fernando Alonso was third, showing encouraging signs for the famous Italian manufacturer.

McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button were fourth and sixth respectively, split by the second Red Bull of Mark Webber.
