If this morning’s post-race scuffle at the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at the Glen NASCAR Sprint Cup race is anything to go by, Boris Said will not be a driver to mess with at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 in October.
Said, who will share the VIP Petfoods Racing Holden Commodore with Steve Owen on the streets of Surfers Paradise, came to blows with Greg Biffle in a pit garage spat that is sure to simmer on.
Biffle took exception to Said’s involvement in a massive wreck that included his Roush Fenway team-mate David Ragan as well as David Reutimann.
It was the latest in a number of incidents between Said and Biffle and if a post-race interview is anything to go, it certainly won’t be the last.
Said, who has driven before for Paul Morris Motorsports at Phillip Island and Bathurst in 2008, is highly regarded for his versatility at the wheel of a wide range of race cars.
This coming weekend he will be alongside Australian Owen Kelly at the Grand-Am sportscar race in Montreal.
From what he said at Watkins Glen, he will not be intimidated by any driver at the Armor All Gold Coast 600, no matter if they are a V8 Supercar regular or another of the visiting international stars.
